A graceful end to a delightful summer!

My anxiety in regards to Caleb stuttering since the age of 3 lead me to take 5 weeks vacation over the summer. We invested 20 minutes every morning after breakfast doing some pronouciation games and other preschool practive activities.
At first, I was relunctant to impose this every morning but to my surprise, Caleb was happy to engage in these and on some days when I chose to opt out, he would remind me that we had not done our "school work" yet!
The schedule for the rest of the day was moslty planned out with a bucketlist of activities which we ticked off as the weeks slowly staggered along.

Altough Caleb was quite happy with the pool in the backyard and would have chosen to moslty spend the day poolside, we visited most of the musuems, and did the usual summer festivals, regional farmer's markets, car shows, and of course, pic-niks in the park and biking!!
How time flies when you're having fun. Mother and son, everyday on a mission of exploration. It trully was a memorable summer and I hope that I will be able to have this presious time again next summer.

It amazes me how five weeks with invested time together and structured activities has completely made the diffrence in his confidence as he approaches his first day of school. I am a proud mama and I trust that he will shine!

I used several websites to download practice writing sheets, cutting practice sheets, join the dot (numbers) sheets and counting activities.
