Why do I Tai Chi?
Meditation restaures the soul, of the young and old!
In May 2001, I had to undergo a total hip replacement (THR of the right hip). This changed my perspective on workouts alltogether.
My expectations of running marathons shifted and I opened up to various forms of exercice, including Tai Chi and Yoga. At the age of 21, I beganTai Chi and have followed with this gentle form of exercice for all the benefits it brings.
Tai Chi is often described as "meditation in motion", it did orginate in China as a martial art.
Qigong (or chi kung), translated as "breath work", has helped me over the years with my asthma and my overall health.
I encourage anyone to try Tai Chi, it may seem slow, it is slow.
It may seem for the weak, but its flow brings serenity and recharges your mind.
It may seem pointless but as time freezes while you practice, you clear your mind and feel positive.
It may seem long, and time becomes irrelevant when you exercice!!
